Maine Shingle Cottage meets Arts and Crafts in this turn-of-the-century ocean side estate. Cypress paneled walls, archways, beamed ceilings, and vintage Victorian fixtures are a few of highlights of the house which is outfitted with eclectic and comfortable furnishings, some lodge-inspired, some antique.
First floor:
Enter into the kitchen with high ceilings, slate sink, and the original refrigerator. On the left are doors one leading down to the basement and the other to "servants' stairs" up to the second floor. Off the right side of the kitchen is a pantry leading to the formal dining room with fireplace. Further down the hallway is a powder room and stairs to the second floor along with the living room which also has a fireplace as well as French doors to the large porch overlooking the ocean.features a fireplace and French doors to the large wrap-around porch. A small room (office) off living room completes the first floor.
Second floor:
At the top of the stairs is a large sitting room with beamed, cathedral ceiling. To the right is a bedroom with two twin beds, across the hall is a bedroom with a queen bed, between the two is a bathroom with a tub and marble shower. Off the other end of the sitting room is a den/TV room. Continuing on you come to the master bedroom (cal. king) with ensuite bath (tub /shower) and ocean views. There are two more bedrooms, one with a queen, one with a double. A hall bath with tub, no shower and back stairs leading down to kitchen complete the second floor.
