While summer is the “busy season” here in coastal Maine–boat-filled harbors! bustling shops! garden tours! waterfront dining!–for many, fall is their favorite time of year. With kids back in school, the sidewalks and trails are a little quieter. But the landscape grows louder and louder as the foliage takes on the reds, yellows, and oranges of fall. You’ve got to experience the glowing colors in person to fully understand the magic of foliage season here in northern New England.
