Buttercup Cottage is a lovely Maine vacation rental located in a charming residential neighborhood; just a three-block walk into downtown Camden and a four-block walk to an in-town sandy beach. The front yard has mature plantings with pretty flowered gardens and the very large back yard is private with mature planting and trees for privacy.

Built in 1900 Buttercup Cottage is a 3/4 Cape in style with a three-season front sunroom and a side sunroom off of the kitchen with hot tub. The entire house is bright and sunny with the enclosed front porch a favorite spot for relaxation. Barrett’s Cove on Lake Megunticook is just a five minute drive and has a sandy beach and picnic tables; Lincolnville Beach is a short 10 minute drive north of Camden and has a sandy beach along with shops, restaurants and take-out dining choices.
Enter through the front sunroom into the open living area with its lovely hardwood floors. To the right is the den with queen futon and the 1st floor full bath. To the left is the lovely dining room with seating for eight and the living room at the back of the house which leads to the user-friendly newly updated kitchen. Off of the kitchen is the back deck with views of the back yard. The side sunroom is also accessed through the kitchen bringing you to the the hot tub and side deck. There is an AC unit on the first floor which cools the house beautifully. The first floor is designed for ease and functionality with an easy flow.
The second floor is accessed using the stairway at the front of the house. The three charming bedrooms are on the second floor offering two queen beds and a full/double bed. The good-size second bath with tub/shower combo is on the second floor. Bedrooms have window AC units.
